- the wine and vintage as they appear on the label, ideally with a photo of the label,
- your iPhone model and iOS version,

Frequently asked questions
How accurate are the recommendations?
They are a considered guide, not a measurement of your bottle. Vinquando’s serving model works from the wine’s style, its age, the bottle size and its own curated wine library. Drinking windows, temperatures and decanting times are editorial rules of thumb, not critics’ scores.
For the evening plan, the app assumes typical temperatures: about 13 °C in a cellar, 6 °C in a fridge and 21 °C in the room. Storage, cork and bottle variation all play a part — taste as you go, and pour a little earlier if the wine is already showing well.
Why isn’t my wine recognised?
Usually for one of two reasons. The label couldn’t be read clearly — photograph the front label straight on, in good light and without reflections. Or the wine isn’t in Vinquando’s library, which is deliberately compact.
Then search by appellation or grape, or choose the style. You still get a guide, marked as general guidance for that style. You can check and change the vintage and bottle size before the guide opens.
Where is my data?
On your iPhone; Vinquando itself sends it nowhere. The label photo is read on the device and then discarded. The app stores your bottles, evening plans and feedback on your iPhone. There is no account and no server, so we see none of it. If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, the app’s data is included like that of any other app. More in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my history?
In the list “Your bottles”, swipe left on a bottle and tap “Delete”; any reminders for that bottle are removed with it. Deleting the app removes all of its data at once.
Why choose a style?
The style says the most about how a wine wants to be served: how much air it likes, how cool it should be and which glass suits it. When Vinquando doesn’t know a particular wine, the style you choose — say a light red, an oaked Chardonnay or a vintage port — gives a sound general guide. The app marks it as general guidance, so you always know what the advice is based on.
